V60
Let’s brew using V60 Dripper
V60 will give you a medium intensity body.
The recipe:
- – 15gr Ground Coffee (Fine to medium grind size, like bread crust).
- – 225Gr hot water 85* (degrees)
How to make:
- Get your dripper, Server, cup, scale, bamboo spoon, timer, grinder and of course your coffee. The Coffee used in here is Banko Gotiti – Ethiopia from Alert Specialty Coffee.
- Place the dripper on the server and get paper filters and place it in the dripper.
- Wet the filter with warm to hot water to get rid of papery flavor and to warm the server. – Place 15gr of grounded coffee.
- Place the unit on the scale and start pouring hot water, stop pouring once you reach 30gr of water. Get your bamboo spoon and stir three times of each side motioning a cross shape for blooming.
- Pour the remaining water until you reach 225Gr of total weight. – It should take between 2-3minutes of time to be extracted.
- Enjoy your freshly brewed coffee.
P.S. If the extraction took more than 3 minutes, it could be grounded too fine. vise versa, if it was extracted fast, that’s probably too course. another factor for uneven extraction could be a none flat coffee bed, or thickness of filter.
